Tours of the historical 1887 Country Boy Mine give a look into the important cultural and economic impacts that mining had on both the region and the nation. After a guided 45-minute walk through the mine, visitors can look at old pieces of mining equipment and pan for gold in Eureka Creek. The mine is about three miles east of the town of Breckenridge, six miles by car from the Breckenridge Ski Resort.
Open mid-Nov - Apr: Thurs. - Sun. 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; late May - Aug: Fri. - Mon. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Sep - mid-Oct: Fri. - Mon. 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Tours begin on the hour.
Tour and gold panning: Adults $17.95; Children (4-12) $12.95; Children 3 and under are free. Gold panning: $9.95.
